She and I
She regularly runs, I generally walk
She intently nods, I inherently smile
She grossly gobbles, I quietly savor
She endlessly thinks, I forever do
She tends to exist, I strive to live
Beyond any explanation,
We complete each other
Soulmates, if you would
Not lovebirds nor darlings
But constant companions
Our converse selves happen
To be our greatest teachers
As students, we often conclude
We are indeed our own swine
Whom we cast our pearls before
Our quirks, strengths, and flaws
Radiate our personality excellently
She couldn’t be more different than me
Nor I from her
But that’s what we cherish
A balance lies in our chaos
She’s the salty to my sweet
Together, we oust the notion
That each hand must fit its
Respective glove perfectly
Our variation in thought
Guides us all the more
Through each curveball
Life throws at us
And I’m thankful
For her, my best friend
